Review of CFD modelling techniques for single‐phase and multiphase flow in static mixers
This review synthesizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) approaches for static mixers, linking hydrodynamics to pressure drop, particle/droplet distributions, mixing metrics, and heat‐transfer performance to guide modelling choices and design decisions. Abstract Static mixers enable compact and low‐energy intensification.

On an analogue of the Tricomi problem for a «pointwise» loaded hyperbolic-parabolic equation

Anatomy of a SPAN Particle: A Four‐Level Structural Framework for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries
Sulfurized polyacrylonitrile (SPAN) is a key cathode material for batteries. Borrowing the four‐level classification of protein structure, this perspective demonstrates SPAN's structural complexity into well‐defined levels, giving researchers clear research boundaries and targets at each level for improving battery performance.

We study the local classical solvability of the Cauchy problem to the equations of one-dimensional nonlinear thermoelasticity. The governing model is a coupled system of a nonlinear hyperbolic equation for the displacement and a parabolic equation for ...

Plasmon–Exciton Coupling Enhances Second‐Order Nonlinear Response in Borophene–ZnO Hybrid Structures
Nonlinear interactions between plasmons in borophene and excitons in ZnO lead to enhanced nonlinear and incoherent cathodoluminescence, as well as coherent second harmonic generation, under electron‐beam and laser irradiations, respectively. The anisotropic response of borophene, revealed as in‐plane hyperbolic polariton propagation, acts as a control ...

Hyperbolic–parabolic singular perturbation for quasilinear equations of Kirchhoff type
In this paper, the authors consider a hyperbolic-parabolic singular perturbation for quasilinear equations of Kirchhoff type. The authors show estimates of the difference between the solution \(u_\varepsilon\) of a quasilinear hyperbolic equation and the solution \(v_\varepsilon\) of the corresponding parabolic equation depending on \(v_\varepsilon ...

Hyperbolic Rotations With Hybrid Numbers
ABSTRACT This paper presents a geometric and algebraic analysis of hyperbolic hybrid numbers, which combine structural features of the complex, dual, and hyperbolic number systems. Based on the algebraic properties of the hybrid number set, hyperbolic rotations in both the plane and space are investigated.

Toward a theory of Bayesian experimentation in early‐stage ventures
Abstract Research Summary The entrepreneurship literature has established the benefits of experimentation but has paid comparatively little attention to its costs. We develop a Bayesian model to illustrate the entrepreneurial choice between direct and experimental entry.

Systems of partial differential equations of mixed hyperbolic–parabolic type
The goal of this paper to formulate a general theory applicable to a broad class of physically important systems such as the Navier-Stokes equations of compressible flow, equations of compressible magnetohydrodynamics, where the authors claimed some new results, models of chemical combustion.

Influence of elevation, climate, snowmelt and floral abundance on body size of solitary bees
We measured body size in bee species from a 10‐year specimen collection from Colorado sub‐alpine meadows (2450–3450 m) and tested effects of elevation and annual snowmelt, climate and floral abundance. 2 out of 4 bee species collected across a broad elevation range showed a decline in body size with higher elevations; the other two showed no effect ...
