Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

Bayesian Estimation Improves Prediction of Outcomes After Epilepsy Surgery
ABSTRACT We estimated the statistical power of studies predicting seizure freedom after epilepsy surgery. We extracted data from a Cochrane meta‐analysis. The median power across all studies was 14%. Studies with a median sample size or less (n ≤ 56) and a statistically significant result exaggerated the true effect size by a factor of 5.4, while the ...

ABSTRACT Objective The Gold Coast criteria permit diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) even without upper motor neuron (UMN) signs. However, whether ALS patients with UMN signs (ALSwUMN) and those without (ALSwoUMN) share similar characteristics and prognoses remains unclear.

Lyapunov stable homoclinic classes for smooth vector fields
In this paper, we show that for generic C1, if a flow Xt has the shadowing property on a bi-Lyapunov stable homoclinic class, then it does not contain any singularity and it is hyperbolic.

On density of horospheres in dynamical laminations [PDF]
In 1985 D.Sullivan had introduced a dictionary between two domains of complex dynamics: iterations of rational functions on the Riemann sphere and Kleinian groups.

Hyperbolic Dehn filling in dimension four
We introduce and study some deformations of complete finite-volume hyperbolic four-manifolds that may be interpreted as four-dimensional analogues of Thurston's hyperbolic Dehn filling.

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...

Hyperbolic subalgebras of hyperbolic Kac–Moody algebras [PDF]
We investigate regular hyperbolic subalgebras of hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras via their Weyl groups. We classify all subgroups relations between Weyl groups of hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras, and show that for every pair of a group and subgroup their exists at least one corresponding pair of algebra and subalgebra.
