Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Stability and wave motion problems in continuous media with second sound [PDF]
In this thesis we investigate thermal convection and wave motion in models of second sound such as the Cattaneo model, Green and Laws model, Batra model, and Green and Naghdi model. For the Green and Laws and Batra models we also investigate questions of

This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

An Analysis of Heat Conduction Models for Nanofluids [PDF]
The mechanism of heat transfer intensification recently brought about by nanofluids is analyzed in this article, in the light of the non-Fourier dual-phase-lagging heat conduction model.

This study applies machine learning regression to predict chromium layer thickness in decorative trivalent chromium electroplating, using 441 experiments from laboratory‐scale (1L) and pilot‐scale (14L) setups. Tree‐based models, particularly CatBoost, outperformed linear regression by capturing nonlinear parameter interactions (R2$R^2$ up to 0.77 ...

Spatial Decay Estimates for Elastic Plate System With Type II Heat Conduction
The classical Saint-Venant principle has been extensively studied for harmonic and biharmonic models but remains largely unexplored for thermomechanical plates governed by hyperbolic (Type II) heat conduction, a conservative thermal model with unique ...

Hyperbolic Lattice Boltzmann Method and Quantum Modelling of Nanostructures
This paper presents a numerical analysis of laser induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS) using lattice Boltzmann method. The Cattaneo-Vernotte hyperbolic heat conduction model is used to derive the hyperbolic lattice Boltzmann in order to consider ...

Non-Fourier heat conduction equation in a sphere; comparison of variational method and inverse Laplace transformation with exact solution [PDF]
Small scale thermal devices, such as micro heater, have led researchers to consider more accurate models of heat in thermal systems. Moreover, biological applications of heat transfer such as simulation of temperature field in laser surgery is another ...
