Anticontrol of the fuzzy hyperbolic model
2004 43rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37601), 2004The problem of chaotifying the continuous-time fuzzy hyperbolic model (FHM) is studied in this paper. By tracking the dynamics of a chaotic system, a controller based on inverse optimal control and adaptive parameter tuning methods is designed to chaotify the FHM.

A hyperbolic model for granular flow
ZAMM - Journal of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics / Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Mechanik, 2011AbstractWe present a model that describes the motion of some granular material sliding along a slope. During this movement, both erosion and deposition may take place, depending on the speed of the sliding material. Analytically, this model consists of a hyperbolic system of partial differential equations.

A Hyperbolic Model of Multiphase Flow
2008Here t > 0 and x ∈ R; moreover v > 0 is the specific volume, u the velocity, λ the mass density fraction of vapor in the fluid. Then λ ∈ [0, 1], with λ = 0 characterizes the liquid and λ = 1 the vapor phase; intermediate values of λ model mixtures of the two pure phases.

HYPERBOLIC MODELS FOR CHEMOSENSITIVE MOVEMENT
Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2002Chemosensitive movement describes the active orientation of individuals on chemical signals. In cases of cellular slime molds or flagellated bacteria, chemosensitive movement leads to aggregation and pattern formation. The classical mathematical model to describe chemosensitive movement is the diffusion based Patlak–Keller–Segel model. It suffers from
