Globally hyperbolic flat space?times [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geometry and Physics, 2004
We consider (flat) Cauchy-complete GH spacetimes, i.e., globally hyperbolic flat lorentzian manifolds admitting some Cauchy hypersurface on which the ambient lorentzian metric restricts as a complete riemannian metric. We define a family of such spacetimes - model spacetimes - including four subfamilies: translation spacetimes, Misner spacetimes ...

Functional Connectivity Linked to Cognitive Recovery After Minor Stroke

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Patients with minor stroke exhibit slowed processing speed and generalized alterations in functional connectivity involving frontoparietal cortex (FPC). The pattern of connectivity evolves over time. In this study, we examine the relationship of functional connectivity patterns to cognitive performance, to determine ...

A note on surfaces with prescribed oriented Euclidean Gauss map

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2005
We present another proof of a theorem due to Hoffman and Osserman in Euclidean space concerning the determination of a conformal immersion by its Gauss map.

Real‐World Performance of CSF Kappa Free Light Chains in the 2024 McDonald Criteria

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Kappa free light chains (KFLCs) in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) have a similar performance to CSF‐restricted oligoclonal bands (OCB) for multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis. To help with implementation, we set out to resolve several remaining uncertainties: (1) performance in a real‐world cohort and the 2024 McDonald criteria; (2 ...

Hyperbolic normal almost contactmetric hypersurfaces in Euclidean 4-dimensional space

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2005
In Euclidean 4-dimensional space, all hyper surfaces with normal almost contact metric structure of hyperbolic type as well as hyperbolic Sasakian structure are found.

Boundaries of hyperbolic metric spaces [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 2005
We investigate the relationship between the metric boundary and the Gromov boundary of a hyperbolic metric space. We show that the Gromov boundary is a quotient topological space of the metric boundary, and that therefore a word-hyperbolic group has an amenable action on the metric boundary of its Cayley graph.

Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

A Direct Meshless Method for Solving Two-Dimensional Second-Order Hyperbolic Telegraph Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, a direct meshless method (DMM), which is based on the radial basis function, is developed to the numerical solution of the two-dimensional second-order hyperbolic telegraph equations.
