Cooperative output regulation for networks of hyperbolic PDE-ODE systems
This work is concerned with the robust cooperative output synchronization problem. Multiple agents are considered, which are each modeled as a system of general heterodirectional hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs) that is mutually coupled ...

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

On a Control Problem by Lumped-Parameter at the Right-Hand Side of the Semi-Linear Hyperbolic System
At the article an optimal control problem by a first order system of semi-linear hyperbolic equations in the class of smooth control function is studied.

A review of numerical asymptotic averaging for weakly nonlinear hyperbolic waves
We present an overview of averaging method for solving weakly nonlinear hyperbolic systems. An asymptotic solution is constructed, which is uniformly valid in the “large” domain of variables t + |x| ∼ O(ϵ –1).

This paper presents a model reduction approach for systems of hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs) with nonlinear boundary conditions. These systems can be decomposed into a feedback interconnection of a linear hyperbolic subsystem and a ...

On Critical Behaviour in Systems of Hamiltonian Partial Differential Equations [PDF]
We study the critical behaviour of solutions to weakly dispersive Hamiltonian systems considered as perturbations of elliptic and hyperbolic systems of hydrodynamic type with two components.

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Relative entropy methods for hyperbolic and diffusive limits [PDF]
We review the relative entropy method in the context of hyperbolic and diffusive relaxation limits of entropy solutions for various hyperbolic models.

On the persistence of lower-dimensional invariant hyperbolic tori for smooth Hamiltonian systems
In this paper, sufficiently smooth Hamiltonian systems with perturbations are considered. By combining a smooth version of the Kolmogorov-Arnold-Moser theorem and the theory of normally hyperbolic invariant manifolds, we show that under the conditions of
