The Large N Limits of the Chiral Potts Model

open access: yes, 1999
In this paper we study the large-N limits of the integrable N-state chiral Potts model. Three chiral solutions of the star-triangle equations are derived, with states taken from all integers, or from a finite or infinite real interval.

Are local climate assemblies politically representative of the macro-public they represent, and does this matter?

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Communications
Using the results of a follow-up survey circulated to the participants of the Herefordshire Citizens Climate Assembly (HCCA), I compare their stated political identity with the political makeup of the county of Herefordshire (the macro public from which ...

BRD4 Signaling Maintains the Differentiated State of β Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The comprehensive exploration revealed the critical role of BRD4 in β cells. BRD4 plays a fundamental role in maintaining β cell differentiation because both long‐term and acute BRD4 deficiency result in a reduction in insulin secretion and downregulation of differentiation markers.

An Osteoconductive Janus Hydrogel with Full Barrier Protection and Adaptable Degradation Properties for Superior Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The filler‐barrier hydrogel system developed by dual‐network Janus structural strategy breaks through the difficulty of a single hydrogel to combine barrier protection with bone regeneration, and realizes the regeneration‐material degradation adaptation for the field of mandibular regeneration.

On the noncommutative hypergeometric equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Recently, J. A. Tirao [Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. 100 (14) (2003), 8138–8141] considered a matrix-valued analogue of the 2F1 Gauß hypergeometric function and showed that it is the unique solution of a matrix-valued hypergeometric equation analytic at z = 0

On the 1/c expansion in 2d CFTs with degenerate operators

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We analytically determine the large central charge asymptotic expansion of Virasoro conformal blocks entering in four-point functions with external degenerate operators on a sphere in 2d CFTs, and study its resurgence properties as a function of the ...

Long Non‐Coding RNA IGFRIL Couples with PTBP1 to Destabilize IGFBP3 mRNA to Promote the IGF1R‐AKT‐mTOR Axis and Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The limited understanding of IGFR pathway activation hinders its clinical application in HCC. Here, IGFRIL is identified as a novel non‐coding activator of the IGF1R, which recruits PTBP1 to destabilize IGFBP3 mRNA and activates IGF1R, and proposes IGFRIL as a novel actionable target for HCC patients.

A Nano‐Electro‐Platform Enabling Evolutionary Screening and Remodeling of Tumor Cells for Metastasis Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The nano‐electro‐platform achieves non‐destructive evolutionary screening and electro‐remodeling of tumor cells to generate extracellular vesicles with enhanced tumor‐targeting and therapeutic functions. These extracellular vesicles demonstrate remarkable efficacy in activating both macrophages and T cells, thereby orchestrating a potent immune ...
