Seipin‐Mediated Lipid Droplet Formation in Cardiomyocytes Ameliorates Cardiac Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid droplets (LDs) protect the heart against lipotoxicity in cardiac ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury; however, they are insufficient to prevent cardiomyocyte death. Seipin plays a central role in the insufficient formation of LDs, subsequent lipotoxicity, and myocardial injury during cardiac I/R injury.

Factors Associated with Goal Achievement in Patients with Dyslipidemia in Primary Care

open access: yesIatreia
Introduction: Dyslipidemia promotes atherosclerotic disease. A strategy to reduce this risk is to achieve low-density lipoprotein (LDL) goals; however, these are often not attained.

Perfil nutricional e cardiovascular de ratos normotensos e hipertensos sob dieta hiperlipídica Perfil nutricional y cardiovascular de ratas normotensas e hipertensos bajo dieta hiperlipídica Nutritional and cardiovascular profiles of normotensive and hypertensive rats kept on a high fat diet

Lipid‐Driven OLR1/FOXM1/FGF19 Axis Orchestrates Crosstalk in an Epithelial‐Fibroblast Positive Feedback Promoting Progesterone Resistance in Endometrial Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
It is revealed that a metabolic–stromal loop driven by oxLDL–OLR1–FOXM1–FGF19 signaling promotes progesterone resistance in endometrial cancer. OxLDL activates epithelial–fibroblast crosstalk, enhancing proliferation and hormonal insensitivity. Disruption of this circuit, especially with resveratrol, restores MPA sensitivity, highlighting a potential ...

Microglial Fkbp5 Impairs Post‐Stroke Vascular Integrity and Regeneration by Promoting Yap1‐Mediated Glycolysis and Oxidative Phosphorylation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A post‐stroke perivascular niche of microglia characterized by low expression of M2 markers and elevated glycolysis, oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), and phagocytic activity is identified, which is termed stroke‐activated vascular‐associated microglia (stroke‐VAM).

Effectiveness of Pre‐Transplant Dual GLP‐1 Receptor Agonist and SGLT2 Inhibitor Therapy on All‐Cause Mortality in Organ Transplantation Candidates with Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes: a Target‐Trial Emulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This target trial emulation in solid organ transplant candidates with obesity and type 2 diabetes evaluates whether pre‐transplant dual therapy with GLP‐1 receptor agonists plus SGLT2 inhibitors is associated with post‐transplant mortality and kidney graft outcomes compared with monotherapy or usual care, using multinational electronic health records ...
