Interbrain Synchrony Mitigates Extremism Within Echo Chambers
People engage with content that aligns with their pre‐existing attitudes, forming echo chambers and amplifying extremism. Participants engaged in a moral judgment task where they privately rated and discussed the appropriateness of actions taken to resolve moral dilemmas. Brain activity was scanned using fNIRS.

Hype, hyperscanning and embodied social neuroscience
Hyperscanning has been hailed as a game-changing method which will allow us to understand the neuroscience of multi-person social interactions and create ‘second person neuroscience’. Here, I present a critical review of fNIRS hyperscanning studies, examining what they can and cannot tell us about social neuroscience.

Abstract The current study used functional near‐infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to investigate whether and how individual differences in positive social engagement among 5‐month‐old (N = 109; N = 35 final sample) infants relate to variability in functional connectivity in the human brain's Default‐Mode Network (DMN).

Hyper Spectral Camera ANalyzer (HyperSCAN)
HyperSCAN (Hyper Spectral Camera ANalyzer) is a hyperspectral imager which monitors the Earth’s environment and also an educational platform to integrate college students’ ideas and skills in optical design and data processing. The advantages of HyperSCAN are that it is designed for modular design, is compact and lightweight, and low-cost using ...

Does brain know who is at the origin of what in an imitative interaction?
Brain correlates of the sense of agency have recently received increased attention. However, the explorations remain largely restricted to the study of brains in isolation.

Laughter as a Subject and a Tool for Interdisciplinary Investigations in Philosophy and Neuroscience
Laughter has been explored by philosophers and neuroscientists. Combining the humor theories (incongruity and relief) with neuroimaging advances, we propose that laughter influences brain dynamics and global cognitive states. Laughter is not only a subject but also a tool for advancing neuroscience.

The Self and Its Intersubjective Synchrony in Psychotherapy: A Systematic Review
ABSTRACT The self is pivotal in psychotherapy, integrating internal (interoexteroceptive) and external (exteroproprioceptive) layers of experience necessary to create an intersubjective space in psychotherapeutic relationship to foster self‐reorganization. Patient–therapist intersubjective experience of synchrony seems to be core in better alliance and
