Some Results on Pixley–Roy Hyperspaces
In this paper, we prove that if a space X has a point-countable cn-network, then the Pixley-Roy hyperspace PRX also has a point-countable cn-network. If X is a regular space with a point-countable ck-network, then so does the Pixley-Roy hyperspace PRX ...

On tori triangulations associated with two-dimensional continued fractions of cubic irrationalities
We show several properties related to the structure of the family of classes of two-dimensional periodic continued fractions. This approach to the study of the family of classes of nonequivalent two dimexsional periodic continued fractions leads to the ...

Some remarks on hyperspaces [PDF]
1. The purpose of this paper is to answer a question of R. Schori [3] and to provide simpler arguments for some generalizations of Schori's results. If X is a metric space, the hyperspace of X, denoted 2X, is the space of all nonvoid closed subsets of X with the usual Hausdorff metric.

Outcomes of Permanent Tooth Intrusion; Pulp Necrosis, Ankylosis and Tooth Loss
ABSTRACT Background/Aim The aim of this study was to examine the timing of pulp necrosis, ankylosis, and tooth loss in intruded permanent teeth based on the stage of root development, degree of intrusion, and initial treatment. Materials and Methods In this retrospective study of intruded permanent teeth between 2013 and 2021, data from 112 teeth in 77

A countably compact free Abelian group whose size has countable cofinality
Based on some set-theoretical observations, compactness results are given for general hit-and-miss hyperspaces. Compactness here is sometimes viewed splitting into “k-Lindelöfness” and ”k-compactness” for cardinals k.

For a continuum, i.e. a compact connected metric space, with more than one point, the following hyperspaces are considered. \(C(X)\) consists of all subcontinua of \(X\) and \(F_2(X)\) of all nonempty subsets of \(X\) with at most two points. These hyperspaces are endowed with the Hausdorff metric.

Fossil Hegemony and Capitalist Realism in Tropic of Orange
ABSTRACT This article examines Karen Tei Yamashita's Tropic of Orange (1997) through the lens of Mark Fisher's influential concept ‘capitalist realism’. Scholars of petrofiction have pointed to a political ambivalence in the representation of fossil fuels, where a better understanding of fossil capital can overwhelm as much as galvanize.

Dynamic Resource Allocation for LEO Satellite Systems Under Heterogeneous Traffic Distributions
ABSTRACT This paper proposes an efficient resource allocation scheme for low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite systems. Taking into account the unique characteristics of LEO systems for 6G communication services, we introduce a dynamic bandwidth and power allocation scheme specifically designed to accommodate highly heterogeneous traffic distributions.

A generalized Picard-Lindelöf theorem
We generalize the Picard-Lindelöf theorem on the unique solvability of initial value problems $\dot x=f(t,x)$, $x(t_0)=x_0$, by replacing the sufficient classical Lipschitz condition of $f$ with respect to $x$ with a more general Lipschitz condition ...
