Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

High Light Utilization and Color Rendering in Vacuum‐Deposited Semitransparent Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, low bandgap (≈1.55 eV) semitransparent perovskite solar cells (ST‐PSCs) having thin (thickness < ≈100 nm) perovskite layers and transparent conductive oxide‐based rear electrodes are fabricated using vacuum‐deposition methods. Two different ST‐PSCs demonstrated a high light utilization efficiency value of 4.2 (PCE: 9.26% and AVT: 45.3 ...

Mistletoe‐ and Mussel‐Inspired Fabrication of Hierarchically Structured Protein‐Cellulose Scaffolds From Biomolecular Condensates

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Merging materials processing tricks inspired by mussel and mistletoe fiber fabrication, solutions of cationic mussel byssus proteins were mixed with modified anionic nanocrystalline cellulose, producing distinctive core‐shell condensates. Simple processing of condensate suspensions using freeze‐drying produced hierarchically structured porous protein ...

KDAD: Knowledge Distillation-Based Anomaly Detection for Thermal Infrared Hyperspectral Image

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Autoencoder (AE) is extensively utilized in hyperspectral anomaly detection (HAD) tasks owing to its robust feature extraction and image reconstruction capabilities. However, AE lacks constraints on anomaly samples during the training process, leading to

Hyperspectral Mamba for Hyperspectral Object Tracking

open access: yes
Hyperspectral object tracking holds great promise due to the rich spectral information and fine-grained material distinctions in hyperspectral images, which are beneficial in challenging scenarios. While existing hyperspectral trackers have made progress by either transforming hyperspectral data into false-color images or incorporating modality fusion ...

Hyperspectral Shack–Hartmann test [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Optics, 2010
A hyperspectral Shack-Hartmann test bed has been developed to characterize the performance of miniature optics across a wide spectral range, a necessary first step in developing broadband achromatized all-polymer endomicroscopes. The Shack-Hartmann test bed was used to measure the chromatic focal shift (CFS) of a glass singlet lens and a glass ...

Multimodal Imaging of Strain and Light Emission of Core–Shell InGaN/GaN Wires under a Sub‐Micrometer Polychromatic X‐Ray Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Micro‐Laue diffraction and excited optical X‐ray luminescence are used to study InGaN/GaN core‐shell wires on the BM32 beamline at the European Synchrotron. Multimodal imaging of X‐ray fluorescence, deviatoric strain tensors and optical emissions is performed using simultaneous mapping.
