Resonance‐Enhanced Four‐Wave Mixing Imaging for Mapping Defect Regions in Vanadium‐Doped WS2 Monolayers

Small Methods, EarlyView.
Resonant four‐wave mixing (FWM) microscopy reveals a spatial modulation of the third‐order nonlinear optical response in vanadium‐doped WS2 monolayers. This robust nonlinear contrast technique tracks the preferential accumulation of vanadium dopants along the structural bisection lines of the synthesized flakes.

Soil wetting and drying processes influence stone artefact distribution in clay‐rich soils: A case study from Middle Gidley Island in Murujuga, northwest Western Australia

Abstract Soils that contain swelling clay minerals (e.g., montmorillonite) expand and contract during wetting and drying, causing movement within the soil profile. This process, known as argilliturbation, can alter artefact distributions, destroy stratigraphy and complicate the interpretation of archaeological deposits.
