The H19 long noncoding RNA is a novel negative regulator of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy.
AIMS The H19 lncRNA, a highly abundant and conserved imprinted gene, has been implicated in many essential biological processes and diseases. However, the function of H19 in the heart remains unknown.

Doxorubicin‐induced cardiomyopathy involves mitochondrial energy metabolism dysfunction, exacerbated by cardiomyocyte‐specific Slc25a49 deficiency via oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) suppression and glycolysis activation. The Slc25a49–glucose‐6‐phosphate (G6P)–activator protein‐1 (AP‐1) axis drives myocardial injury by upregulating Sln, disrupting ...

Based on the poor cartilage penetration of tFNA, a novel tFNA‐2WL with excellent cartilage permeability and perfect chondrocyte endocytosis properties is designed and fabricated. As a result, tFNA‐2WL has a nearly seven‐fold increase in the penetration depth into the cartilage, with the same excellent cell entry properties as tFNA.

Bilateral Signal Warping for Left Ventricular Hypertrophy Diagnosis [PDF]
Left Ventricular Hypertrophy (LVH) is a major cardiovascular risk factor, linked to heart failure, arrhythmia, and sudden cardiac death, often resulting from chronic stress like hypertension. Electrocardiography (ECG), while varying in sensitivity, is widely accessible and cost-effective for detecting LVH-related morphological changes.

PULP HYPERTROPHY OF THE TEETH. [PDF]
I was first led to the histologie examination of pulp hypertrophy by the desire to find the conditions of the nerve supply in this so highly-altered pathologic tissue; in the study of the nerves I found not only what I expected—partly complete absence of nerves and partly marked decrease of nerve fibers, thus explaining the great difference in ...

Satellite cell depletion prevents fiber hypertrophy in skeletal muscle
The largest mammalian cells are the muscle fibers, and they have multiple nuclei to support their large cytoplasmic volumes. During hypertrophic growth, new myonuclei are recruited from satellite stem cells into the fiber syncytia, but it was recently ...
