Pressure overload induces a transition from cardiac hypertrophy to heart failure, but its underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Here we reconstruct a trajectory of cardiomyocyte remodeling and clarify distinct cardiomyocyte gene programs encoding ...

Human iPSC‐derived hypertrophic chondrocyte sheet promotes bone regeneration. Abstract Bone defects are a major clinical challenge, primarily owing to the limited self‐healing capacity of bones and the high risk of complications associated with conventional treatment strategies.

Exercise induces expression of the myokine irisin, which is known to promote browning of white adipose tissue and has been shown to mediate beneficial effects following exercise. Here we show that irisin induces expression of a number of pro-myogenic and

Advances in Bioprinting to Model Immune‐Mediated Skin Diseases
This review explores how 3D bioprinting drives innovation in developing in vitro skin models that mimic immune‐mediated diseases. It highlights current technologies, key applications in studying skin pathologies, and emerging challenges. The review points toward future opportunities for improving disease modeling and advancing therapeutic and cosmetic ...

This work presents ARC‐3D, a soft 3D model that recreates how brain support cells, called astrocytes, react to oxidative stress. The system visualizes rapid calcium changes and inflammatory signals, and shows how the drug KDS12025 can protect cells from damage. ARC‐3D offers a simple, reliable way to study early drivers of brain inflammation.

This study exploits the plasticity of ASCs‐derived cartilage organoids which generate a perichondrial layer of MSCs when exposed to cyclic chondrogenic/proliferative cues. Using these organoids as building blocks, we develop (i) Phalange Shaped Tissue Engineered Cartilage (Pa‐TECs), recapitulating endochondral ossification suitable for the treatment of

miRNA‐1 regulation is necessary for mechanical overload‐induced muscle hypertrophy in male mice
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small, noncoding RNAs that play a critical role in regulating gene expression post‐transcriptionally. They are involved in various developmental and physiological processes, and their dysregulation is linked to various diseases ...

AMPK activation counteracts cardiac hypertrophy by reducing O-GlcNAcylation
AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) has been shown to inhibit cardiac hypertrophy. Here, we show that submaximal AMPK activation blocks cardiomyocyte hypertrophy without affecting downstream targets previously suggested to be involved, such as p70 ...
