Seismicity studies at Moluccas area based on the result of hypocenter relocation using HypoDD
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2015The precise hypocenter was determined location using double difference method around subduction zone in Moluccas area eastern part of Indonesia. The initial hypocenter location from MCGA data catalogue of 1,945 earthquake events. Basically the principle of double-difference algorithm assumes if the distance between two earthquake hypocenter ...

Abstract Relative relocation techniques are widely used to improve the resolution of earthquake hypocenter positions. Here, we present GrowClust3D.jl—an open-source software package written in the programming language Julia that builds and improves upon the original GrowClust algorithm, an established relative relocation technique based ...

Hypocenters relocation using double-difference method around Molucca Collision Zone
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017Eastern Indonesia is situated in a very complicated tectonic settings due to the converging of three major plates. Those plates do not have a clear boundary between each other. The boundary zone is covered by many microplates which converging or subducting to each other or create a large dimension of transform fault.

Towards Real-Time Double-Difference Hypocenter Relocation of Natural and Induced Seismicity
2020<p>In order to assess the fault-geometry and the spatio-temporal evolution of natural and induced seismicity, high-precision (relative) micro-seismic hypocenter locations are key information. From such precise relative hypocenter locations, we can infer e.g.

Hypocenters Relocation Using Double Difference Method Around Mount Agung, Bali
Proceedings, 2018Summary After a long sleep for 54 years, now we are surprised by the presence of seismic activities of Mount Agung that has recorded since September 2017. We can’t prevent the eruption, however we can observe magma movement in the body of volcanos. Hypocenters distribution is an important information that can be used to reveal the magma movement in the

Earthquake hypocenter relocation using double difference method in East Java and surrounding areas
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2015Determination of precise hypocenter location is very important in order to provide information about subsurface fault plane and for seismic hazard analysis. In this study, we have relocated hypocenter earthquakes in Eastern part of Java and surrounding areas from local earthquake data catalog compiled by Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical ...

Relocation of volcano-tectonic earthquake hypocenter at Mt. Sinabung using double difference method
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017Sinabung is one of the active volcanoes in Indonesia that located in Karo, North Sumatra. Before the eruption in August 2010, this mountain is type-B volcano and then it change to type A volcano. Since the eruption in 2010, volcanic activity still continue and hasn’t show any signs of stopping yet.

Abstract A large set of seismic events recorded along the southern flank of the central Alborz in the Tehran, Iran, region during 1996–2008 were relocated using the double-difference technique and an appropriate velocity model. The relocated hypocentral locations improve significantly in comparison with those routinely determined by the Iranian ...
