Nanoflower MnxNi2−xP as efficient bifunctional catalyst for hydrogen production with urea‐assisted energy‐saving in alkaline freshwater and seawater

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
(1) A bifunctional nanoflower MnxNi2−xP has been synthesized by in situ growth on foam nickel for both HER and UOR in seawater. (2) The intrinsic activity and corrosion resistance was improved by the formation of metal alloys and phosphating, respectively. (3) This integration promotes environmental sustainability alongside technological advances.

Recent Developments for the Ring Opening of Pyrrolidines and Unstrained Cyclic Amines via C−N Bond Cleavage

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advancements in the deconstructive transformation of unstrained cyclic amines, with a particular focus on the C−N bond cleavage of pyrrolidines. Various methodologies, including von Braun‐type, oxidative, and reductive approaches, facilitate the synthesis of diverse amines and the expansion of chemical space.

A nanoleakage perspective on bonding to oxidized dentin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The mechanism responsible for sodium-hypochlorite-induced reduction in dentin bond strength and its reversal with reducing agents is unknown. This study examined the relationship between nanoleakage and reversal of compromised bonding to oxidized dentin.

Decadal survival of tropical pioneer seeds in the soil seed bank is accompanied by fungal infection and dormancy release

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, EarlyView., 2023
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Pioneer trees require high‐light environments for successful seedling establishment. Consequently, seeds of these species often persist in the soil seed bank (SSB) for periods ranging from several weeks to decades.

A Review Over Benefits and Drawbacks of Combining Sodium Hypochlorite with Other Endodontic Materials

open access: yesOpen Dentistry Journal, 2017
Introduction: As the root canal system considered to be complex and unpredictable, using root canal irrigants and medicaments are essential in order to enhance the disinfection of the canal. Sodium hypochlorite is the most common irrigant in endodontics.
