Protocreopsis, a New Genus of the Hypocreales
Kew Bulletin, 1977The present new genus is closely related to Hypocreopsis Karsten, represented by H. lichenoides (Tode) Karsten and H. rhododendri Thaxter. Both genera have Nectria-type, 1-septate and hyaline ascospores and Hypocrea-type (Homalocrea-type), thin and effuse or pulvinate stromata.

New Species of Hypocreales (Fungi, Ascomycetes)
Brittonia, 1992The new ascomycetes Hypomyces succineus, Podostroma eperuae, and Nectria phialotrichi are proposed. Hypomyces succineus occurs on basidiomata of Pholiota sp. in New York; its anamorph is described as the new species Cladobotryum succineum. Podostroma eperuae occurs on decaying pods of a species of Eperua found in French Guiana and Guyana.

Cosmospora magnusiana (Hypocreales) on Diatrypella in Bulgaria
2021New records of Cosmospora magnusiana from Stara Planina Mts and Sofia region, associated with stromata of Diatrypella on dead oak and maple twigs, are reported. The two findings are presented with concise description and original colour illustrations.

Phylogenetic placement of the anamorphic tribe Ustilaginoideae (Hypocreales, Ascomycota)
Mycologia, 2004Tribe Ustilaginoideae (Hypocreales, Ascomycetes) is made up of three anamorph genera, Munkia, Neomunkia and Ustilaginoidea. Species of Munkia and Neomunkia develop on the culms of bamboo (Chusquea spp.) and have a neotropical distribution while species of Ustilaginoidea infect the florets of various grasses and are pantropical in distribution.

Nuclear Behavior in Hypocreales: Calonectria Crotalariae
Mycologia, 1981SUMMARY The nuclear behavior of Caloncetria crotalariae associated with sporulation was studied. Asci are produced from typical croziers, and directly by conversion of the binucleate basal cell into an ascus. A single holoblastic conidium is produced from the tip of the conidiogenous cell.
