Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVI) is a syndrome characterised by hypogammaglobulinaemia and defects in cellular immunity. 1 The differentiation of B-lymphocytes into plasma cells does not occur and the patients suffer from recurrent infections. 2 About 30% of CVI cases develop splenomegaly.
