Nonlinear Dynamic Characteristics of Fixed‐Axis Gear Wear in Multistage Gear Transmission Systems
With the increasing service life of a gear transmission system, the gear teeth become constantly worn and the gear clearance increases. The increase in the clearance will produce a series of nonlinear changes that change the stability of the system and can even cause the loss of stability.

Modelling and Dynamic Analysis of the Spiral Bevel Gear‐Shaft‐Bearing‐Gearbox Coupling System
To accurately study the dynamic characteristics of the spiral bevel gear transmission system in a helicopter tail transmission system, the finite element model of the gear shaft was established by a Timoshenko beam element, and the mechanical model of the spiral bevel gear was created by the lumped mass method.

High speed and heavy load put forward demanding requirements for the bending strength of spiral bevel gear. Shot peening, as a technological method, can greatly improve the bending strength of gear. During shot peening, a large number of subtle projectiles bombard the tooth surface of spiral bevel gear at an extremely high speed, which makes the latter

Vibratory Power Flow Analysis of a Gear‐Housing‐Foundation Coupled System
The marine gearbox is usually installed on a vibration isolation system in order to reduce oscillation transmitted to the ship foundation. However, researches on vibration transmission in the gear‐housing system and isolation system are currently independent.

Study on misalignment of hypoid gears.

On the dynamics of lubricated hypoid gears [PDF]
The torsional dynamics of a vehicle differential hypoid gear pair is investigated. The model comprises applied torque, representing transmitted engine power, including engine order vibration. A number of gear teeth pairs transmit the applied torque through their lubricated conjunctions.

Analysis of Contact Part of Error Tooth Surface and Dynamic Performance Prediction for Involute Gear
Aiming at the problem of constructing digital model of involute gear with error, the method of linear interpolation combined with area weight interpolation is proposed. Based on the non‐feature discrete data block technique, the true tooth surface discrete data obtained by the coordinate measuring instrument is divided into blocks, and then the ...

Effects of Geometry Design Parameters on the Static Strength and Dynamics for Spiral Bevel Gear
Considering the geometry design parameters, a quasi‐static mesh model of spiral bevel gears was established and the mesh characteristics were computed. Considering the time‐varying effects of mesh points, mesh force, line‐of‐action vector, mesh stiffness, transmission error, friction force direction, and friction coefficient, a nonlinear lumped ...

Influence of Bearing Stiffness on the Nonlinear Dynamics of a Shaft‐Final Drive System
The bearing stiffness has a considerable influence on the nonlinear coupling vibration characteristics of the shaft‐final drive system. A 14‐DOF nonlinear coupled vibration model was established by employing the lumped mass method so as to identify the coupling effects of the bearing stiffness to the vibration response of the shaft‐final drive system ...
