Hypothesis testing for Gaussian states on bosonic lattices
The asymptotic state discrimination problem with simple hypotheses is considered for a cubic lattice of bosons. A complete solution is provided for the problems of the Chernoff and the Hoeffding bounds and Stein's lemma in the case when both hypotheses ...

Debates—Hypothesis testing in hydrology: Theory and practice
The basic structure of the scientific method—at least in its idealized form—is widely championed as a recipe for scientific progress, but the day‐to‐day practice may be different.

Tuberculosis remains a global health challenge and new therapeutic targets are required. Here, we characterized SseA, a sulfurtransferase from Mycobacterium tuberculosis involved in macrophage infection, and its interaction with the newly identified protein SufEMtb that activates SseA enzymatic activity.

Testing Composite Null Hypothesis Based on $S$-Divergences
We present a robust test for composite null hypothesis based on the general $S$-divergence family. This requires a non-trivial extension of the results of Ghosh et al.~(2015).

Aβ42 promotes the aggregation of α‐synuclein splice isoforms via heterogeneous nucleation
The aggregation of amyloid‐β (Aβ) and α‐synuclein (αSyn) is associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. This study reveals that Aβ aggregates serve as potent nucleation sites for the aggregation of αSyn and its splice isoforms, shedding light on the intricate interplay between these two pathogenic proteins.

Testing Happiness Hypothesis among the Elderly
We use a rich data set that allows us to test different happiness hypotheses employing four methodological approaches. We find that older people in Uruguay have a tendency to report themselves happy when they are married, when they have higher standards ...

HYPOTHESIS TESTING ON STRUCTURAL COMPARATIVE CALIBRATION MODEL
.- In this work study statistic inference on comparative calibration model introduced for Barnett [1]. Consider hypothesis testing in structural comparative calibration model presented in Theobald and Mallison [4].

This work presents the characterization of MvoDUF2193, a Methanococcus voltae (Mvo) protein from the domain of unknown function (DUF) 2193 family. We demonstrate that MvoDUF2193 binds a single [4Fe–4S] cluster per subunit and that cluster occupancy regulates the transition from an apo tetramer to a [4Fe–4S] monomeric form. This structural transition is

Using Bayesian analysis for hypothesis testing in addiction science.
© 2 Bayesian statistical analysis provides a useful alternative to classical statistical methods for testing hypotheses. Tools are now available to apply this approach to most hypothesis tests in the field of addiction.
