An automatic hysteresis loss recorder
IEE-IERE Proceedings - India, 1973The present communication describes the development of an experimental arrangement for automatic recording of hysteresis loss without making use of a cathode ray oscilloscope. A simple moving coil type d.c. meter in the proposed arrangement reads the hysteresis loss directly.

Hysteresis loss in a multifilament Superconductor
1977Calorimetric measurements of the alternating field eddy current losses in three twisted filamentary, mixed-matrix superconductors were recently reported and compared with calculated losses based on the continuum model for a multifilament conductor. The measurements and comparison are extended here to the hysteresis loss.

Modeling of hysteresis and power losses in transformer laminations

IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1974The ratio of the rotating hysteresis loss to alternating hysteresis loss W_{r}/W_{h} is examined as a function of the magnetic field for various ferrimagnetic powders dispersed in a nonmagnetic matrix. A comparison of the W_{r}/W_{h} vs H behavior for single-domain particles with that of multidomain particles is made.

Applied Superconductivity, 1996Abstract Spin-down results are reported for a permanent magnet (PM) ring levitated in vacuum over an array of high-temperature superconductors (HTSs). A method was developed that uses a small amount of soft-ferromagnetic shims to reduce the azimuthal inhomogeneity of the PM.
