Gate Enhancing Charge‐Spin Conversion in Organic Chiral Field Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Room‐temperature organic chiral multiferroic field effect transistors are demonstrated, enabling bidirectional control between spin and charge. Specifically, spin polarization affects the ferroelectric polarization, and ferroelectric polarization, in turn, can modulate spin polarization and spin‐dependent transport.

One Nonlinear PID Control to Improve the Control Performance of a Manipulator Actuated by a Pneumatic Muscle Actuator

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2014
Braided pneumatic muscle actuator shows highly nonlinear properties between displacements and forces, which are caused by nonlinearity of pneumatic system and nonlinearity of its geometric construction.

Beyond Cartilage‐Inspired Supramolecular Polyurethane for Adaptive Impact‐Resistant Protection with Robustness, Self‐Healing, and Recyclability

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cartilage‐inspired supramolecular polyurethane–urea (PU‐BAMB) elastomers are developed by integrating hierarchical hydrogen bonding and π–π stacking interactions within a dynamically reconfigurable network. This synergistic supramolecular architecture overcomes the intrinsic trade‐off between rigidity and recoverability, imparting exceptional toughness,

Composed Mathematical-Informational modeling of column-base connections

open access: yesLatin American Journal of Solids and Structures
Depending on the type of structural analysis required, any moment-rotation curve representation can be used; these include linear, bilinear, multi-linear and nonlinear representations. The most accurate representation uses continuous nonlinear functions.

Pressure-induced commensurate stacking of graphene on boron nitride

open access: yes, 2016
Combining atomically-thin van der Waals materials into heterostructures provides a powerful path towards the creation of designer electronic devices. The interaction strength between neighboring layers, most easily controlled through their interlayer ...

Molecular Sieve Promoted Growth of Ferroelectric Trilayer 3R‐MoS2 for Polarization‐Dependent Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The noncentrosymmetric trilayer rhombohedral‐stacked MoS2 nanoflakes with enhanced sliding ferroelectric properties are synthesized via a molecular sieve‐assisted chemical vapor deposition process. The switchable polarization states, combined with the exceptional light/gate voltage modulated electrical properties of these nanoflakes, enable broadband ...

Barkhausen-type noise in the resistance of antiferromagnetic Cr thin films

open access: yes, 2012
We present an experimental study of the changes generated on the electrical resistance $R(T)$ of epitaxial Cr thin films by the transformation of quantized spin density wave domains as the temperature is changed. A characteristic resistance noise appears

Neural Information Processing and Time‐Series Prediction with Only Two Dynamical Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
The present study demonstrates how simple circuits with only two memristive devices are utilized to perform high complexity temporal information processing tasks, like neural spike detection in noisy environment, or time‐series prediction. This circuit simplicity is enabled by the dynamical complexity of the memristive devices, i.e.
