Hysteretic behavior in three-dimensional soap film rearrangements
Physical Review E, 2011We report experiments on soap film configurations in a triangular prism for which the shape factor can be changed continuously. Two stable configurations can be observed for a range of the shape factor h, being the prism-height/edge-length ratio. A hysteretic behavior is found, due to the occurrence of another local minima in the free energy.

1997 IEEE International Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG'97), 1997Minor loop behavior have been investigated experimentally on magnetically uniaxial films of YIG based garnets and MnBi all having the easy direction of the magnetization perpendicular to the film plane and unit squareness. Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1978Abstract Beef liver pyruvate carboxylase can exhibit transients of enzyme activity depending on prior incubation conditions. At pH 7.0, when the reaction is initiated with MgATP (after incubation with the other reaction components) an initial burst of activity occurs which decays to a slower rate.
