Exploring the Antidiabetic Potential of Pyrimidine‐Derived Chalcones: Synthesis, Biological Evaluation, and Molecular Modeling

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 2, January 15, 2025.
A new series of chalcones (17–43) has been prepared via Claisen Schmidt condensation of newly synthesized pyrimidines (15–16) with aryl aldehydes. The efficient synthesis of these chalcones is confirmed by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, FTIR, H1‐NMR, and C13‐NMR. These compounds are also screened for anti‐diabetic properties.
