Trends and Disparities in Dementia Among Older Adults With Coronary Artery Disease, 1999–2023: Insights From the CDC WONDER Database

From 1999 to 2023, over 1.25 million US deaths involved both dementia and coronary artery disease. Mortality was highest among males, rural residents, and long‐term care patients, with rising rural trends. The findings call for inclusive cardiovascular research and tailored care for elderly individuals with cognitive impairment.

This report presents a case of ROCM in a 27‐year‐old male whose sole systemic risk factor was chronic Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis D (HDV) coinfection.
