Updating Bounds on $R$-Parity Violating Supersymmetry from Meson Oscillation Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We update the bounds on $R$-parity violating supersymmetry originating from meson oscillations in the $B^0_{d/s}$ and $K^0$ systems. To this end, we explicitly calculate all corresponding contributions from $R$-parity violating operators at the one-loop ...

The rare decays B --> K(*) anti-K(*) and R-parity violating supersymmetry

open access: yes, 2006
We study the branching ratios, the direct CP asymmetries in $B\to K^{(*)}\bar{K}^{(*)}$ decays and the polarization fractions of $B\to K^{*}\bar{K}^{*}$ decays by employing the QCD factorization in the minimal supersymmetric standard model with R-parity ...

Quark Loop Contributions to Neutron, Deuteron, and Mercury EDMs from Supersymmetry without R parity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We present a detailed analysis of the neutron, deuteron and mercury electric dipole moment from supersymmetry without R parity, focusing on the quark-scalar loop contributions.

Security enhancement using a novel two-slot cooperative NOMA scheme [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In this letter, we propose a novel cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme to guarantee the secure transmission of a specific user via two time slots. During the first time slot, the base station (BS) transmits the superimposed signal to

Employment and Happiness of the Older People in Romania and the Visegrád Countries: Analysis of the European Quality of Life Surveys

open access: yesStudia Universitatis Vasile Goldis Arad, Seria Stiinte Economice, 2021
We used the last three waves of the European Quality of Life Surveys to analyze the happiness of older workers in Romania and the Visegrád countries.

Representations of the q-deformed algebra U'_q(so_4)

open access: yes, 2001
We study the nonstandard $q$-deformation $U'_q({\rm so}_4)$ of the universal enveloping algebra $U({\rm so}_4)$ obtained by deforming the defining relations for skew-symmetric generators of $U({\rm so}_4)$.

Analysis of the Relaxation Process using Non-Relativistic Kinetic Equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We study the linearized kinetic equation of relaxation model which was proposed by Bhatnagar, Gross and Krook (also called BGK model) and solve the dispersion relation.

Intravascular Lithotripsy Is Associated With Superior Clinical Outcomes Compared to Atherectomy: A Large‐Scale, Propensity‐Matched Analysis

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Coronary artery disease (CAD) with severe calcification remains a growing challenge in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Atherectomy (ATH) has long been used for plaque modification, whereas intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) has emerged as a promising alternative. Large‐scale comparative data on long‐term outcomes are limited.

First genome sequence of a European Alternaria brassicae isolate and genes involved in early development of alternaria leaf spot on Brassica juncea

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
This article reports the first genome sequence of a UK Alternaria brassicae isolate. Dual RNA‐sequencing profiling of A. brassicae‐infected Brassica juncea leaves identified differentially expressed genes involved in pathogenicity and host response pathways in moderately resistant Sej‐2 (2) and moderately susceptible Pusa Jaikisan cultivars.

Filial piety matters: A study of intergenerational supports and parental health

open access: yesSSM: Population Health, 2022
Eldercare has become a major challenge in China. As intergenerational support from children remains the primary source of caregiving, this paper investigates the impact of such support on parents' health outcomes.
