Unraveling in vitro phase separation and aggregation properties of the structured region of FMRP and the impact of Fragile X syndrome‐linked mutations

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Fragile X messenger ribonucleoprotein 1 (FMRP) is a multidomain RNA‐binding protein associated with Fragile X Syndrome (FXS). We found that its N‐terminal structured region has an intrinsic propensity to undergo liquid–liquid phase separation and fibril formation. FXS‐associated mutations perturb protein stability and aggregation propensity, suggesting

L3 Regressive Transfer: A Study of Null Objects in the Basque and Spanish Grammars of Advanced L3 English Speakers

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Linguistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Regressive transfer has been a subject that has not been extensively researched in the field of third language acquisition. This study aims to examine the extent to which a highly advanced knowledge of a third language (L3) affects the first language (L1) and the second language (L2) of early bilinguals in light of the Differential Stability ...

Searching for LADA in patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis: A tool for the prevention of LADA

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autoimmune thyroid diseases (AITD), such as Hashimoto's thyroiditis (HT), frequently co‐occur with autoimmune diabetes, including latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA). While guidelines recommend thyroid autoantibody screening in patients with autoimmune diabetes, the reverse approach—screening for diabetes‐related autoantibodies in AITD

The multidimensional regulation roles and mechanisms of calcium in fruit quality

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Plant Biology, EarlyView.
This review explores how calcium signaling molecule integrates plant hormones, environmental cues, and developmental signals to influence external fruit traits, internal nutritional properties, and physiological disorders. ABSTRACT Calcium (Ca2+), a dual‐functional mineral that serves both as an essential structural factor and a signaling molecule ...
