Cooperative Resource Management in a IaaS [PDF]
Virtualized IaaS generally rely on a server consolidation system to pack virtual machines (VMs) on as few servers as possible, for energy saving. However, two situations are not taken into account, and could enhance consolidation. First, since the managed VMs can be of various sizes (small, medium, large, etc.), VMs packing can be obstructed when sizes

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.

Mitochondrial SLC25A46 is upregulated in ovarian cancer (OC) and correlates with poor prognosis. SLC25A46 stabilizes CACT to activate fatty acid oxidation, increasing ATP and NADPH production to drive cell proliferation and ferroptosis evasion. SLC25A46 silencing sensitizes OC cells to ferroptosis and carboplatin, offering a promising therapeutic ...

EFFECT OF DIFFERENT POST-HARVEST TREATMENT ON SHELF-LIFE AND QUALITY OF TOMATO (SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM VAR GAURAV555) [PDF]
Shelf life and quality of tomatoes are influenced by fruit senescence, firmness, technology availability, and farmers’ storage practices. Therefore, a lab experiment was conducted to study the effects of different post-harvest treatments on shelf life ...

ABSTRACT Iron overload is a common metabolic disturbance in cancer and contributes to poor outcomes in renal cell carcinoma (RCC), yet its effects on the tumour immune microenvironment remain unclear. Here we identify a previously unrecognized immunosuppressive axis in which iron overload downregulates the palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC12 in CD8+ T cells ...

NFYB Integrates Hormonal Signals into Tissue Allometry by Promoting Protein Biosynthesis
In the American cockroach, NFYB acts as a spatiotemporin that translates distinct hormonal cues into tissue‐specific allometry. Juvenile hormone activates NFYB in the early fat body, while 20‐hydroxyecdysone induces it in late wing pads. NFYB then promotes protein biosynthesis via core translational machinery, driving differential growth across the ...

MiR‐940 Suppresses Ferroptosis by Controlling Expression of Key Regulatory Genes
A CRISPR‐based screening identified miR‐940 as a critical suppressor of ferroptosis in cancer. By coordinating the downregulation of pro‐ferroptotic genes with the upregulation of GPX4, miR‐940 establishes a regulatory network that protects against ferroptosis and correlates with poor clinical outcomes in distinct cancer entities.
