Ibadism in Islamic medieval societies
2018The Ibadis, a religious minority that survived in North Africa and Oman, claim to be the democrats of Islam. The present study highlights their key role in promoting a political alternative to the Caliphate through a collegial model of government. Its focus lies on their social and political achievements during the medieval period.

Modelling surface growth in IBAD with rate equations
MRS Proceedings, 2000AbstractWe develop a rate-equation model for surface growth in ion beam assisted deposition. In terms of the rate coefficients the model describes how island detachment and breakup, adatom diffusion and interlayer transitions of adatoms affect the growth.

Nanointerface analysis of hard coatings deposited by IBAD
2008In this research hard TiN coatings were deposited onto previously carburized steel substrates (0.165%C, 0.2%Si, 1.2%Mn and 1%Cr). In order to sustain substrate properties obtained during heat treatment, hard coatings should be deposited at very low temperatures (up to 120°C).
