A hypothermia mimetic molecule (zr17-2) reduces ganglion cell death and electroretinogram distortion in a rat model of intraorbital optic nerve crush (IONC) [PDF]
Introduction: Ocular and periocular traumatisms may result in loss of vision. Our previous work showed that therapeutic hypothermia prevents retinal damage caused by traumatic neuropathy.

Unified Fault, Resource Management and Control in ATM-based IBCN [PDF]
In this paper we present the initial specification of a system that covers both the control and management planes of network operation, with emphasis on fault, performance, and configuration management. The system incorporates rapid and reliable ATM network layer self-healing mechanisms, intelligent load balancing, dynamic routing and resource ...

Retrosplenial cortex 5-HT2A receptors critically contribute to recognition memory processing [PDF]
The anterior retrosplenial cortex (aRSC) functions as a hub that integrates multimodal sensory inputs into associative recognition memories. Although the aRSC receives dense serotonergic projections from the raphe nuclei, the role of serotonin in its ...

Robust Stabilization of Impulsive Boolean Control Networks with Function Perturbation
This paper studies the robust stabilization of impulsive Boolean control networks (IBCNs) with function perturbation. A Boolean control network (BCN) with a state-dependent impulsive sequence is converted to an equivalent BCN by the semi-tensor product ...

Prospective Longitudinal Cohort of Argentinean Patients with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy: A Platform for Epidemiological and Translational Research [PDF]
Abstract Background Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP) and corticobasal syndrome (CBS) are two neurodegenerative disorders that manifest disabling postural instability, parkinsonism, cognitive impairment and falls with brain neurofibrillary tangle lesions containing 4‐repeat tau protein. The prevalence is 6/100,000 inhabitants but estimated only from

Bioorthogonal Ligation‐Activated Fluorogenic FRET Dyads
A concept for the transformation of the excellent tetrazine‐ligation dependent fluorogenicity of blue‐excitable cores to biologically preferable emission ranges is presented herein. Such relay mechanism resulted in improved yellow/red fluorogenicities together with increased photostabilities and large apparent Stokes‐shifts.
