New variant of IBV in Poland

Veterinary Record, 2006
SIR, – We wish to report the occurrence of a new variant of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) in three flocks of 30,000 Ross 308 chickens in Poland. The birds were kept in very good conditions with access to food and drinking water ad libitum.

Dynamic IBVS control of an underactuated UAV

2012 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Biomimetics (ROBIO), 2012
In this paper image based visual servo approach for 3D translational motion and yaw rotation of an under-actuated flying robot is considered. Taking into account the complexity of dynamics of flying robots, main objective of this paper is to consider the dynamics of these robots in designing an image based control strategy.

Organization of the IBV Genome

1984
We have investigated how the information contained within the large RNA genome of IBV is expressed. We began by examining the structure of IBV-specified RNAs. Infected chicken embryo kidney (CEK) cells contain at least 6 IBV RNA species. These consist of the viral genome, RNA F, with an estimated complexity of 23 kb1, and subgenomic RNAs A, B, C, D ...

Coronavirus IBV: Structural Characterization of the Spike Protein

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1983
The spike protein (S; surface projection) of avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) strain M41 comprises two glycopolypeptides, S1 (mol. wt. 90 X 10(3] and S2 (mol. wt. 84 X 10(3], in equimolar proportions. The apparent mol. wt. of S was calculated as 354 (+/- 17) X 10(3) following co-sedimentation with catalase in sucrose gradients.

Structural Characterization of IBV Glycoproteins

1984
Avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) causes economically important disease in chickens, affecting both respiratory and non-respiratory tissues. Like other coronaviruses IBV virions contain three virus-coded protein structures, the spike (S; surface projection, peplomer), nucleocapsid (N) and matrix (M) proteins1. The polypeptides of M and N proteins

Effect of IBV-H120 Vaccination in Broilers on Colibacillosis Susceptibility After Infection with a Virulent Massachusetts-Type IBV Strain

Avian Diseases, 2005
Vaccination against infectious bronchitis (IB) is aimed to protect against clinical IB. The question is, however, whether vaccinated birds are also protected against predisposure for colibacillosis after a subsequent IBV infection. We examined this research question in four experiments.

Sequences Required for Replication and Packaging of IBV RNA

2001
We have used a naturally occurring IBV defective RNA (D-RNA), CD-91 (9.1 kb; Penzes et al., 1994) to investigate IBV replication and packaging signals. This D-RNA comprised the 5’-most 1133 nucleotides (domain I, including the 528 nucleotide 5’ untranslated region, UTR) and 3’-most 1626 nucleotides (domain III) of the genome and a middle section ...

The Efficiency of Supplement Schema for IBVS Algorithms

Proceedings of the IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2005. ISIE 2005., 2005
In this paper we propose a special geometric feature parameter supplement schema for IBVS systems in which, the servoing is based on the point to point correspondences. The proposed algorithm with special feature parameters is compared with the "classic" feature parameters algorithm.

Confirmation of the presence of avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) using cloned DNA complementary to the 3’ terminus of the IBV genome

Avian Pathology, 1984
A hybridisation test has been developed to aid the identification of virus isolates as avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) when serum neutralisation tests have proved inadequate. In this test nucleic acid prepared from four recent virus isolates suspected of being IBV hybridised with a 32P-radiolabelled cloned cDNA (complementary DNA) probe ...

Analysis of Messenger RNA within Virions of IBV

1994
The presence of subgenomic mRNAs (sgRNAs) in virions of infectious bronchitis virus was examined by probing Northern blots of RNA extracted from virions using as a probe a cDNA of the 3'-terminal nucleocapsid protein (N) gene. The sgRNAs were readily detected even after extensive purification of virions and after RNase A treatment of virions. The molar
