Products of the Polymerase-Encoding Region of the Coronavirus IBV [PDF]
The avian Coronavirus infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) has a single-stranded, polyadenylated, positive-sense RNA genome some 27.6 Kb in length (Boursnell et al., 1987). IBV replication almost certainly proceeds by the same mechanism that occurs in the more intensively studied Coronavirus, mouse hepatitis virus (MHV). Genomic RNA is first translated to

The hormone Dipl8 regulates organ growth inDrosophila whereas the Hippo pathway controls organ size. Here, the authors show that the expression of Dipl8 is regulated by the Hippo pathway, thus linking organ growth or organ size in Drosophila.

Structural Polypeptides of Coronavirus IBV
Avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) was grown and radiolabelled with 35S-methionine, 3H-leucine and 3H-glucosamine in de-embryonated chicken eggs. Approximately 12 different polypeptides were clearly detected by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of virus preparations. Growth of IBV in chorioallantoic membrane cells labelled with 35S-methionine

Presence of Subgenomic mRNAs in Virions of Coronavirus IBV
The presence of subgenomic mRNAs in virions of IBV was examined by probing Northern blots of RNA extracted from virions using as a probe a cDNA of the 3'-terminal nucleocapsid protein (N) gene. This detects all five mRNAs because of the 3'-coterminal, nested-set arrangement of coronavirus mRNAs.

The Important Role of Lipid Raft-Mediated Attachment in the Infection of Cultured Cells by Coronavirus Infectious Bronchitis Virus Beaudette Strain. [PDF]
Lipid raft is an important element for the cellular entry of some viruses, including coronavirus infectious bronchitis virus (IBV). However, the exact role of lipid rafts in the cellular membrane during the entry of IBV into host cells is still unknown ...

Human SUMOylation Pathway Is Critical for Influenza B Virus
The identification and elucidation of host pathways for viral infection are critical for understanding the viral infection processes and novel therapeutics development. Here, for the first time, we discover that the human SUMOylation pathway is essential
