Quantitative analysis of DNA‐GATA1 binding alterations linked to hematopoietic disorders
Native holdup allows the quantitative determination of affinities between full‐length transcription factors and DNA. Mutations in either the protein or the DNA can modulate binding strength, which can be precisely quantified using this approach. Applied to GATA1, it revealed mutations that alter DNA binding.

Human SUMOylation Pathway Is Critical for Influenza B Virus
The identification and elucidation of host pathways for viral infection are critical for understanding the viral infection processes and novel therapeutics development. Here, for the first time, we discover that the human SUMOylation pathway is essential

Early Prediction of Type‐Specific Influenza Incidence Using Wastewater‐Based Epidemiology
We demonstrated that influenza incidence can be accurately predicted using viral RNA concentrations in wastewater. We also developed a method to separately estimate the incidence of influenza A and influenza B. Wastewater‐based estimates can theoretically detect epidemic trends approximately one week earlier than conventional case reporting, suggesting

Interaction of the IBV S protein with eIF3f and inhibition of protein synthesis. [PDF]
a. Confirmation of the interaction between the Flag-tagged eIF3f and the full-length IBV S protein by co-immunoprecipitation. HeLa cells expressing the Flag-tagged eIF3f (lane 1), IBV S (lane 2) and eIF3f+IBV S (lane 3) by using the vaccinia/T7 ...

Data Analysis Planning and Reporting for Confirmatory Multi‐Lab Preclinical Trials: A Tutorial
ABSTRACT Confirmatory multi‐lab preclinical trials are a powerful experimental strategy to enable decisions to transition from preclinical to clinical settings. With their complexity, such study designs pose several challenges in statistical planning, analysis, and reporting of experiments.

Eluding innate immune responses by IBV: role of non-structural protein 15 [PDF]
Upon virus infection, cells of the host develop various anti-viral defenses while viruses in turn have evolved strategies to antagonize the host defenses.

ABSTRACT Respiratory virus circulation may vary across healthcare settings and age groups, potentially limiting the interpretability of surveillance based on a single source. In Milan, Italy, established community‐ and emergency department‐based systems coexist with hospital laboratory testing, but hospital ward‐level data are not routinely integrated.
