Ice-Marginal Sedimentary, Glacitectonic, and Morphologic Features of Pleistocene Drift: An Example from Newfoundland

Quaternary Research, 1977
A Pleistocene drift sequence in hummocky terrain along part of the southern Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland is interpreted to comprise complexly interrelated lodgement till, melt-out till, flow till, supraglacial and proglacial outwash, and supraglacial rhythmites.

A mesoscale ocean feature study using synthetic aperture radar imagery in the Labrador Ice Margin Experiment: 1989

Journal of Geophysical Research: Oceans, 1991
Four Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images were collected during the Labrador Ice Margin Experiment (LIMEX) in March 1989 to study mesoscale ocean features over the Newfoundland shelf. Ice floe movement is detected by displacement in the first two images collected on consecutive days.

Late Devensian ice‐marginal features in the central North Sea – processes and chronology

Boreas, 2014
Palaeoglaciological reconstructions of the North Sea sector of the last British Ice Sheet have, as other shelf areas, suffered from a lack of dates directly related to ice‐front positions. In the present study new high‐resolution TOPAS seismic data, bathymetric records and sediment core data from the Witch Ground Basin, central North Sea, were compiled.
