A Reexamination of Riming on Thin Ice Plates

Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences, 1977
Abstract The investigation of Pitter and Prappacher (1974) was reexamined including the effect of changing drag on the accelerating water drops and the effect of the drop flow field on the ice crystal. The present results indicate that drops greater than 10 µm collide with ice crystals at higher efficiencies than found earlier.

Next generation copper pattern plating for IC package application

This paper describes the study of a new pattern plate, direct current (DC) electrolytic copper plating chemistry for IC package (PKG) application. The new chemistry shows good via-filling performance and good pattern plate uniformity together with thinner surface copper deposit.

In response, the electronics industry has begun investigating alternatives to traditional tin/lead (Sn/Pb) solders. Several consortia are working to determine the feasibility of Pb-free solder alloys.
