Experimental Study of Edge Loading of Ice Plates
The interaction of an ice cover and a fixed narrow structure was modelled by edge loading large rectangular (0.4 m × 0.5 m) plates of columnar-grained ice. The plates were set on one of the long edges and the load was applied to the opposite edge by means of indentors of widths varying between 12 and 150 mm.

An Analysis of the Water-to-Ice Phase Transition Using Acoustic Plate Waves
It is shown that, in spite of the wave radiation into the adjacent liquid, a large group of Lamb waves are able to propagate along piezoelectric plates (quartz, LiNbO3, LiTaO3) coated with a liquid layer (distilled water H2O).

Mechanisms and Theory of Indentation of Ice Plates [PDF]
AbstractThis study gives the results and interpretation of tests made in a cold room on ice plates held vertically in a press and indented at various speeds with a rectangular indentor. These plates, 81 cm square, were held and frozen solid to a steel frame to represent semi-infinite ice sheets.

Cold Storage and Release Characteristics of Phase Change Cold Storage Plate with Non-Uniform Fins
Ice plates, widely used in food cold chain refrigeration transportation, involve challenges such as long cold storage time and low efficiency in use. This study establishes a mathematical model for ice plate cold storage and release.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Body Motion Under an Ice Cover in the Presence and Absence of Ocean Waves
This study investigates the unsteady motion of a slender body in a fluid beneath an ice cover, both in the presence and absence of the ocean waves propagating through the ice–water system, using the Fourier and Laplace integral transforms.

Waves generated by moving loads on ice plates: Viscoelastic approximations
The paper investigates waves generated by the moving loads on ice plates floating on an incompressible fluid. Two different viscoelastic approximations are considered for the ice cover: A model depending on the strain-relaxation time, and a model including a hereditary delay integral.
