A new brittle rheology and numerical framework for large-scale sea-ice models
International audienceWe present a new brittle rheology and an accompanying numerical framework for large-scale sea-ice modelling. We have based this rheology on a Bingham-Maxwell constitutive model and the Maxwell-Elasto-Brittle (MEB) rheology for sea ...

Quantifying subglacial roughness and its link to glacial geomorphology and ice speed [PDF]
The shape of subglacial bed topography, termed its roughness, is a recognised control on basal ice-flow. Although glaciologists have observed patterns of variations in ice speed over beds with different roughness values, the strength of this relationship

Commercial PP packaging grades span wide ranges in melt flow rate and stiffness, defining distinct application‐specific property spaces. Post‐consumer rigid PP products populate these spaces heterogeneously, with processing method and degradation shifting properties beyond virgin grade benchmarks.

Constitutive equations with pressure-dependent rheological parameters for describing ice creep
Experimental data from creep tests on polycrystalline ice samples highlight not only the non-Newtonian behavior of ice but also suggest a critical dependence of the various rheological parameters upon the applied hydrostatic pressure.

Abstract Overfoaming remains a critical challenge in industrial bioprocesses, compromising mass transfer, operational stability, and downstream efficiency in bioreactors and wastewater treatment systems. This study provides a bibliometric and scientometric assessment of nanoparticle‐enabled foam control to map technological trends and identify research

Effects of Andrade and Burgers rheologies on glacial isostatic adjustment modeling in Antarctica
Variations in ice mass deform the Earth and modify its gravity field, a process known as Glacial Isostatic Adjustment (GIA). GIA in Antarctica remains poorly constrained due to the cumulative effect of past and present ice-mass changes, the unknown ...

ABSTRACT The agitation power input substantially impacts the oxygen transfer rate in aerobic fermentation processes. Furthermore, in a carbon‐limited process where the substrate feed rate is controlled by the concentration of dissolved oxygen, the power input will consequently govern the feed rate.

The evolution of the Greenland Ice Sheet from the Last Glacial Maximum to present-day: An assessment using glaciological and Glacial Isostatic Adjustment modelling [PDF]
In this thesis we constrain a three-dimensional thermomechanical model of Greenland ice sheet (GrIS) evolution from the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, 21 ka BP) to the present-day using, primarily, observations of relative sea level (RSL) as well as field ...
