Homocysteine Exacerbates Pulmonary Fibrosis via Orchestrating Syntaxin 17 Homocysteinylation of Alveolar Type II Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study identifies elevated homocysteine (Hcy) levels in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis patients' samples, with alveolar type 2 cells as the primary site of Hcy metabolism. Methionine synthase reductase downregulation in these cells exacerbates fibrosis, while folate administration reduces Hcy levels and alleviates fibrosis.

Laser‐Induced 3D Graphene Enabled Polymer Composites with Improved Mechanical and Electrical Properties Toward Multifunctional Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, the utilization of 3D printing driven by laser‐induced graphene and a conventional infiltration process for assembling kinds of graphene‐based polymer composites is described. The synergistic integration of polymers and the interconnected 3D‐LIG frameworks has endowed the composites with remarkable mechanical, electrical, and tunable ...

An Automated Micro‐Immunobeads‐Based Electromagnetic Operation System (MEMOs) for Blood Testing of Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents an automated and accessible point‐of‐care device, MEMOs, for the detection of exosomal Aβ42 protein, a potential blood biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease. MEMOs, with its automated operation workflow, minimizes hands‐on time and maintains high sensitivity in diagnosing AD, allowing non‐specialists to conduct tests at home and offering
