Connecting the dots: Network structure as a functional trait in arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Soil health and sustainable land management are critical to addressing global challenges such as food security, climate resilience, and biodiversity loss. Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi form underground networks that enhance plant nutrient uptake and improve soil structure, yet their functional diversity remains poorly understood, limiting their ...

A Critical Review of Limitations and Challenges in Advancement of HNF as a Green Oxidizer for Composite Solid Propellant Formulations

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 50, Issue 7, Page 11-30, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Hydrazinium nitroformate (HNF) is a chlorine‐free, high‐energy oxidizer with promising applications in green propulsion systems. This review examines the thermal decomposition, combustion kinetics, flame structure, and behavior of HNF, while critically evaluating the current body of literature.

Role of Cell‐Cycle Proliferation Test, Triple Hit Phenotype, and TMPRSS2‐ERG Expression to Evaluate the Risk of Progression in Prostate Cancer Patients Under Active Surveillance

open access: yesThe Prostate, Volume 85, Issue 12, Page 1104-1113, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Background An accurate estimation of progression risk in patients with prostate cancer (PCa) amenable to active surveillance (AS) is still an unmet need. Among available biomarkers, we considered Prolaris cell‐cycle progression (CCP) test, “triple hit” phenotype (ERG overexpression, PTEN and prostein expression loss) and elevated expression ...

Modelling the influence of soil moisture on the Turkana jet

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
High‐resolution convection‐permitting experiments demonstrate that the Turkana jet is sensitive to soil moisture variations. When examining realistic dry and wet conditions, dry soils amplify a surface‐induced thermal low, which intensifies the along‐channel pressure gradient and strengthens the Turkana jet.

Regional to large‐scale mechanisms controlling intraseasonal variability of low‐level clouds in Western Equatorial Africa

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
(a) Location map with the 26 stations as yellow squares superimposed on the topography in metres above sea level. Correlations between intraseasonal variability of the stratiform cloud cover over Western Equatorial Africa (WEAisv) and (b) observed low‐cloud fraction (LCF), (c) ERA5 LCF at the same location as stations with the same missing entries, (d)
