ABSTRACT This paper explores the European Union's Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CS3D) in the context of ongoing debates on private and public governance of global value chains (GVCs). Conceptually, it draws on neo‐Gramscian perspectives to analyze how contestation and compromise between distinct stakeholders and dynamics of hegemony

Learning and distraction: Evidence for cognitive load interference in medical education
Abstract Background Distraction may increase cognitive load. Cues may decrease it. But what happens if we cue in distracted learning environments? Does effective instruction buffer against the detrimental effects of distraction? Methods In a 2 × 2 factorial experiment, 117 s–year medical students without prior knowledge watched a standardised ...

β‐Triketone‐Based Ionizable Cationic Lipids Synthesized via Click Chemistry for siRNA Delivery
This study innovatively applies β‐triketone‐based click chemistry in the synthesis of ionizable cationic lipids (ICLs), which allows the generation of a lipid library in large quantities and in a short time. The ICLs identified achieved effective lipid nanoparticles‐mediated hepatic gene silencing in vivo using siRNA, and computational simulations are ...

Ng et al. show that the BCR::ABL1 kinase that drives the lymphoid leukemia Ph+B‐ALL modulates enhancer function by coopting signaling‐inducible transcription factors such as MYC, STAT5, and ETV5. BCR::ABL1 thereby promotes the transcriptional program driving and defining this leukemia and renders Ph+B‐ALL cells hypersensitive to enhancer‐inhibiting ...

Repurpose an FDA‐Approved Antibody Using DARPin‐Scaffolded Bridge Protein
The cell line and scalable upstream/downstream process development needed for every new monoclonal antibody are both highly expensive and time‐consuming, significantly increasing the cost of new antibody therapeutics. By contrast, the production of many synthetic binders can be accomplished rapidly and with lower production costs.
