Philosophy and the Mind Sciences
Iconicity is a term used in cognitive science and gesture studies to denote an informative relation between the form of an utterance and the meaning of that utterance. With good design, the form of an utterance can directly invite a suitable perceiver with a certain degree of initiation to iconically grasp a meaning in the right direction.

Matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization imaging‐based identification of reliable small molecule markers across heterogeneous glioblastoma cohorts is challenging with intensity‐only methods. We present spatially informed feature selection (SIFS), a spatially informed framework that prioritizes molecules consistently colocalizing with histopathology.

Generation of the Camptothecin Scaffold by a Flavin‐Catalyzed Photooxidative Skeletal Reorganization

The biosynthetic pathway of the anticancer drug precursor camptothecin involves an enigmatic skeletal reorganization from a 6/5/6 tetrahydro‐β‐carboline to a 6/6/5 pyrroloquinoline ring system. Here, we show that this transformation can be achieved by photooxidation with flavin cofactors, such as flavin mononucleotide (FMN) as catalysts.
