Work‐Related ICT Use and the Dissolution of Boundaries Between Work and Private Life

open access: yesSocial Inclusion, 2023
Information and communication technologies (ICTs) promote flexible forms of work. Based on analyses of data from the German BIBB/BAuA Employment Survey 2018, this article shows that ICT (computer/internet) use is associated with both overtime and better ...

Innovation, Sustainability and ICT

open access: yesProcedia Computer Science, 2011
AbstractIs the Innovation Society sustainable? We argue that the way in which our society organizes its innovation processes generates endogenous crises, and the ideology that sustains this organization makes it difficult to confront this meta-crisis economically or politically. We claim that the key to constructing a socially sustainable future is the

PRO-POOR VALUE CHAINS FOR SMALL SCALE FARMING INNOVATION: SUSTAINABILITY IMPROVEMENTS THROUGH ICT

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Industrial Engineering, 2019
The success of small-scale farmers in pro-poor value chains is constrained by aspects related to government policies, research and training, community issues, and the quality of existing information and communication technology (ICT) tools.

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

The BEF symplectic form: a Lagrangian perspective

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
In [22], Bernardes, Erler and Fırat proposed a novel, elegant expression for the symplectic form on phase space applicable to non-local theories. We show that this BEF symplectic structure can be derived directly from an L ∞ -Lagrangian by following the ...

Microenvironmental Reprogramming by 3D Anisotropic Cardiac Extracellular Matrix Induces Nuclear Remodeling and Epigenetic Maturation of Chemically Induced Cardiomyocytes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 3D anisotropic hydrogel derived from heart extracellular matrix guides cytoskeletal alignment and nuclear remodeling in reprogrammed cardiomyocyte‐like cells. This study reveals how matrix alignment modulates nuclear envelope dynamics and chromatin state, triggering transcriptional and functional maturation.
