Asymptotically ideal Disjunctive Hierarchical Secret Sharing Scheme with an Explicit Construction

open access: yesCoRR
Disjunctive Hierarchical Secret Sharing (DHSS) scheme is a secret sharing scheme in which the set of all participants is partitioned into disjoint subsets. Each disjoint subset is said to be a level, and different levels have different degrees of trust and different thresholds.

Strategies and Process of Trade Secret Misappropriation Mitigation: The Case of UK

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Trade Secrets (TS) are vital for innovation‐driven companies, and their loss can inflict significant financial and reputational damage, particularly in the absence of established policies to mitigate misappropriation in the UK. The current academic literature lacks detailed strategies for firms to effectively address these threats.

Turning the Tables: Leveraging Purpose as a Strategic Advantage for SMEs

open access: yesStrategic Change, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT When executed well, purpose can become a transformative force, turning a business into a breakout success. Novel CRT-based asymptotically ideal disjunctive hierarchical secret sharing scheme

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics of Communications
Disjunctive Hierarchical Secret Sharing (DHSS)} scheme is a type of secret sharing scheme in which the set of all participants is partitioned into disjoint subsets, and each subset is said to be a level with different degrees of trust and different thresholds. In this work, we focus on the Chinese Remainder Theorem (CRT)-based DHSS schemes due to their

The Bazaar as a Model for Knowledge Work

open access: yesKnowledge and Process Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper presents fieldwork that extends existing metaphors of knowledge work as a process shaped by hierarchical or market forces. A qualitative, ethnographic study of six knowledge‐intensive businesses in two countries identifies striking parallels with the Middle Eastern bazaar in contrast to Western impersonal markets and hierarchies. We

Underground Lag: Fungal Community and Edaphic Legacies After Disturbance

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Páramos are neotropical mountain ecosystems that regulate water and store large amounts of carbon, but are increasingly degraded by agriculture and grazing. Although native vegetation often recolonizes after abandonment, belowground recovery remains poorly understood.

Electrochemical Monitoring of Steel Corrosion in NS4 Solution Under Cathodic Protection Environment: Insights of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, EarlyView.
Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) monitored corrosion on mild steel under cathodic protection in soil‐like conditions. CP reduced corrosion from 410 to 7 µm/yr, shifting the mechanism from mixed activation–diffusion to activation‐controlled, enabling protective calcareous and oxide film formation.

Interplanetary frontiers: terraforming from an invasion science perspective

open access: yesOikos, EarlyView.
The pursuit of a multi‐planetary existence represents one of humanity's greatest frontiers. If applied justly, it offers an opportunity to extend its civilization's lifespan amid escalating sustainability crises on Earth. One approach increasingly gaining traction is terraforming, a hitherto theoretical ecological and evolutionary experiment revolving ...
