A geometrical model for the fusion of identical nuclei
Journal of Physics G: Nuclear Physics, 1982Propounds a one-parameter family of shapes for the fusion of two identical nuclei. This family continuously covers the whole deformation range from two tangential spherical fragments to the sphere resulting from their fusion. Simple analytical formulae are given for the various dynamical parameters of the system.
