Perampanel as add‐on in high‐grade glioma–related epilepsy: Seizure control and QoL in a prospective, multicenter, real‐world 6‐month follow‐up study

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective High‐grade astrocytomas, including glioblastomas, are aggressive brain tumors with poor prognosis and a 5‐year survival below 7%. Seizures affect up to 75% of glioma patients, especially in low‐grade tumors but also in high‐grade cases.

Systemic Treatments for Recurrent or Metastatic Sinonasal Carcinomas: A Retrospective Multicenter Study

open access: yesHead &Neck, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Sinonasal cancers are rare and heterogeneous and pose a therapeutic challenge at an advanced stage due to the lack of data on appropriate systemic management. Methods This retrospective multicenter study analyzed 83 patients with recurrent or metastatic sinonasal carcinomas ineligible for curative treatment, treated in France ...

Differentiation Syndrome and Sweet Syndrome‐Like Overlap Following Venetoclax–Azacytidine and G‐CSF Therapy

open access: yesJEADV Clinical Practice, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Differentiation syndrome (DS) and Sweet syndrome (SS) are inflammatory complications mediated by cytokine dysregulation, classically associated with therapies that promote myeloid differentiation or cytokine release. While DS has been primarily linked to all‐trans retinoic acid (ATRA) and IDH inhibitors, recent evidence suggests that ...

Additional file 3: of Metabolic characterization of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutant and IDH wildtype gliomaspheres uncovers cell type-specific vulnerabilities

open access: yes, 2018
IDH1 mutant cells are better able to proliferate following radiation than IDH wildtype cells. A. Growth curve following radiation (0 and 10 Gy) shows average fold increases in cell number between IDH wildtype and IDH1 mutant groups over three passages ...

Proteomic and Metabolomic Profiling Reveal Mitochondrial Transplantation–Mediated Reprogramming in Gastric Cancer Cells

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mitochondria provide multiple functions for cellular physiology. Transplantation of mitochondria isolated from gastric epithelial cells GES‐1 reducing the malignancy of gastric cancer cells AGS was previously reported. To elucidate the underlying mechanisms, TMT‐based proteomic analysis coupling ingenuity pathway software prediction revealed ...

Potential Biomarkers for IDH-Mutant and IDH-Wild-Type Glioblastomas: A Single-Center Retrospective Study

open access: yes
Background/Objectives: Glioblastoma ranks among the most aggressive brain tumors, with poor prognosis. Currently, there are insufficient data regarding the prognostic value of isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH) mutation status and inflammatory markers.
