Do state-controlled banks pay more or less taxes? Evidence for Brazil [PDF]
Research Question: Do Brazilian publicly-controlled banks pay less taxes than privately-controlled banks? Motivation: Common sense in society might assume that there is a principal-agent conflict whereby publicly-controlled banks would pay less taxes ...

Challenges to polycentric governance of an international development project tackling land degradation in Swaziland [PDF]
To effectively address the drivers and impacts of land degradation requires polycentric governance systems that facilitate international development projects (IDPs). This paper analyses an IDP aiming to reduce land degradation in Swaziland.

IDP-like Asteroids Formed Later than 5 Myr After Ca–Al-rich Inclusions
The parent bodies of ordinary chondrites, carbonaceous CM chondrites, and interplanetary dust particles (IDPs) represent most of the mass of the solar system’s small (D ≤ 250 km) bodies.

A hybrid algorithm for coalition structure generation [PDF]
The current state-of-the-art algorithm for optimal coalition structure generation is IDP-IP—an algorithm that combines IDP (a dynamic programming algorithm due to Rahwan and Jennings, 2008b) with IP (a tree-search algorithm due to Rahwan et al., 2009 ...

IDP–CRF: Intrinsically Disordered Protein/Region Identification Based on Conditional Random Fields
Accurate prediction of intrinsically disordered proteins/regions is one of the most important tasks in bioinformatics, and some computational predictors have been proposed to solve this problem. How to efficiently incorporate the sequence-order effect is

Diffusion‐based size determination of solute particles: a method adapted for postsynaptic proteins
We present a diffusion‐based approach for measuring the size of macromolecules and their complexes, and demonstrate its use on postsynaptic proteins. The method requires fluorescein‐labelled protein samples, a microfluidic device that maintains laminar flow for said samples, a microscope recording the emitted fluorescent signals, and an analytic ...

pH‐Tunable Material Properties of Glycine‐Rich Condensates from Tick Bioadhesive
This work studies the influence of pH on the phase separation behavior of a disordered glycine‐rich protein found in tick bioadhesive. The results show profound impact on the propensity of coacervation, condensate microstructure and viscosity, amphiphilicity of the peptides, and effective encapsulation of therapeutic molecules.

Managing Access to Service Providers in Federated Identity Environments: A Case Study in a Cloud Storage Service [PDF]
© 2015 IEEE. Currently the diversity of services, which are adhering to Identity Federation, has raised new challenges in the area. Increasingly, service providers need to control the access to their resources by users from the federation as, even though
