An acidic region of the 89K murine cytomegalovirus immediate early protein interacts with DNA [PDF]
The product of the ie 1 gene, the regulatory immediate early protein pp89 of murine cytomegalovirus (MCMV), interacts with core histones, which can mediate the association of pp89 with DNA.

Quantum data processing and error correction [PDF]
This paper investigates properties of noisy quantum information channels. We define a new quantity called {\em coherent information} which measures the amount of quantum information conveyed in the noisy channel.

Localization and functional analysis of SeMNPV IE1 in mammalian cells
In this paper, the function of the ie1 gene from baculovirus Spodoptera exigua multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (SeMNPV), belonging to group II nucleopolyhedrovirus, was studied in mammalian cells. We amplified the SeMNPV ie1 gene and expressed it by fusing to the C terminal of enhanced GFP protein in HEK 293 cells.

The Autographa californica Multiple Nucleopolyhedrovirus ie0 - ie1 Gene Complex Is Essential for Wild-Type Virus Replication, but either IE0 or IE1 Can Support Virus Growth [PDF]
ABSTRACT The immediate-early ie0 - ie1 gene complex expresses the only baculovirus spliced gene that produces an alternate protein product. Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV) IE1 is a potent transcriptional transactivator that is ...
