Role of IGFBPs in the morphogenesis of lingual papillae [PDF]

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record Part A: Discoveries in Molecular, Cellular, and Evolutionary Biology, 2005
AbstractThe expression of insulin‐like growth factor binding proteins (IGFBPs) during the morphogenesis of lingual papillae of mice was examined by in situ hybridization. Among seven mouse IGFBPs, IGFBP‐1, ‐6, and ‐7 mRNAs were not expressed in the tongue tissue.

Partitioning of IGFBP-5 actions in myogenesis: IGF-independent anti-apoptotic function

open access: yes, 2004
Igfbp5 is upregulated during the differentiation of several key cell lineages and in some tumours; the function of IGFBP-5 in these physiological and pathological situations is unknown.

The evolving role of immunotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 18, 15 September 2026.
Abstract Ovarian cancer remains a major cause of gynecologic cancer mortality; and, although immune checkpoint inhibitors have transformed treatment in other solid tumors, their activity in ovarian cancer has been limited by tumor heterogeneity, an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, and the lack of robust predictive biomarkers.

Regulation of the IGFBP-5 and MMP-13 genes by the microRNAs miR-140 and miR-27a in human osteoarthritic chondrocytes

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2009
BackgroundMMP-13 and IGFBP-5 are important factors involved in osteoarthritis (OA). We investigated whether two highly predicted microRNAs (miRNAs), miR-140 and miR-27a, regulate these two genes in human OA chondrocytes.MethodsGene expression was ...

Relation of Serum IGF-1 and IGFBP-3 Levels with Acute Exacerbation in Cystic Fibrosis [PDF]

open access: yes
Aim: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder primarily affecting the lungs and it is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Progressive lung disease and acute pulmonary exacerbations (PEx) are significant contributors to poor

IGFBP-3 and IGFBP-5 production by human intestinal muscle: reciprocal regulation by endogenous TGF-β1

open access: yes, 1998
Insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I)-mediated growth of cells can be modulated by specific IGF binding proteins (IGFBPs) that inhibit or augment IGF-I ligand-receptor interaction.

Genome-wide identification, functional prediction, and expression analysis of members of IGFBP gene family in buffalo

open access: yesSiliao yanjiu
The experiment aimed to identify the insulin-like growth factor-binding protein (IGFBP) family members from the buffalo genome and systematically analyze their structural characteristics, molecular functions, and expression patterns in mammary tissue ...

Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein-5 (IGFBP-5) stimulates phosphorylation of the IGFBP-5 receptor

open access: yes, 1998
The finding that insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-binding protein-5 (IGFBP-5) binding to mouse osteoblasts was capable of being downregulated by IGFBP-5 suggested that the 420-kDa membrane protein, which interacted with IGFBP-5, may be a signaling ...

A hústermelésre ható (IGFBP-3) gén polimorfizmus vizsgálata különböző juh keresztezésekben

open access: yes, 2010
Vizsgálataink során az IGFBP-3 gén hústermelési, vágási tulajdonságokra gyakorolt hatását tanulmányoztuk különböző juh keresztezésekben, szarvasmarhában és kecskében.
