open access: yesEarly Medieval Europe, Volume 34, Issue 2, Page 275-298, May 2026.

Identifying Purse Seine Vessel Operations Through Machine Learning Models for Better Spatial Fishing Effort Estimates

open access: yesFish and Fisheries, Volume 27, Issue 3, Page 712-725, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Spatial fisheries management requires precise, spatial explicit information on species distribution and fishing impacts. In the NW Mediterranean, the distribution of small pelagic fish (SPF) stocks is currently assessed through annual acoustic surveys.

Lower Limb Symmetry Index in Cavus and Normal Feet by Means of a Baropodometric Platform: A Case–Control Study

open access: yesInternational Wound Journal, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT High‐arched feet affect approximately 10%–15% of the general population. Although the relationship between plantar pressure and bilateral symmetry is well studied, there is limited evidence regarding the use of Symmetry Index and pressure platforms.

If You Want Help, You'd Better Be Green! Investigating the Effects of Sustainability Perceptions on Customer Co‐Creation in New Product Development

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, Volume 43, Issue 3, Page 400-427, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Academic Summary This research examines whether and how a firm's sustainable image increases customer co‐creation in new product development (NPD). Across four studies, two scenario‐based experiments (Study 1a: n = 184; Study 2a: n = 285) and two behavior‐based idea contests (Study 1b: n = 197; Study 2b: n = 396), this article evaluates ...

Aridity and drought: distinct concepts often conflated in ecological research

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 4, Page 2026-2038, May 2026.
Summary As well‐established drivers of ecological pattern and process, aridity and drought are linked by a common focus on water limitation – with both aridity and especially drought projected to increase in extent and severity with climate change. There is a long history of assessing plant adaptations to drought through the lens of aridity. Consistent
