IGNITION TRANSIENT STUDY: IGNITER JET IMPINGEMENT

The products of pyrotechnic igniter consist of hot gases and particulate materials and affect the over-all heat transfer to the propellant surface. This paper reports the ignition transient study by locating hot spots created during the impingement of the igniter jet on the propellant surface.
